Janet is a retired Lancashire County Council Headteacher and Education Adviser. She has a Bachelor of Education Degree with Honours and an NVQ5 in Business Management.

She has been Chair of Waddow’s Management Committee and more recently, Chair of Friends of Waddow. She is currently Chair of the Waddow Heritage Group. She has been Girlguiding County Commissioner for Lancashire South-East County. She was a Queen’s Guide and has more recently been presented with the Laurel Award, for service to Girlguiding.

Janet is fully committed to driving through the changes necessary to take Waddow forward as a Centre of outstanding provision, providing adventurous experiences for young people and adults of all ages. She values the unique opportunities Waddow can offer and, whilst supporting the need to keep what it does well, she will also seek to promote, develop and broaden that scope in the future.

Janet has a background specialising in Management and Leadership. As an Adviser she was a key member of Lancashire’s Monitoring and Intervention Team. She has a broad knowledge of change management and is a strategic thinker. She has a hands-on, down-to -earth approach and is results orientated.
