Lynn is a retired local government official who worked for 27 years in Adult Social Care.

Born in South Shields her introduction to Girl Guiding was at the age of 4 when she was introduced to Brownies one evening, she gained her Queen’s Guide Award at 16 and has never left since. She has 56 years service as a Girlguiding Leader.

Her current local role as Chair of the Management Committee of her local campsite and she served on the Waddow Management Group and is currently Chair of Friends of Waddow.

In May of 2023 when Girlguiding announced that it was proposing to close Waddow, Lynn did not hesitate to look for a way forward to continue the valuable legacy that Waddow has handed down to many generations of Guide members and other organisations such as schools, youth groups and the wider community. Lynn is fully committed to the task in hand to develop Waddow Hall Trust for todays young people and future generations.
