Richard’s experience of Waddow Hall began in 2006 where he took his Cubs and Beavers for their first ever night away with 1st Clitheroe Scouts. The relationship has continued since then, with multiple Cub, Scout and Explorer events, days, camps availing themselves of the amazing asset which is Waddow Hall.
Richard’s professional background is in engineering and production management. For 17 years he worked in the brick industry, then following a career change, he moved into Industrial Energy Consulting, working alongside many household names, to better understand and improve the efficiency of their operations.
He now work for a water utility, developing more efficient ways of operating waste and water treatment sites.
Outside of work, scouting has been Richard’s main interest, helping set up a group, leading Cub, Scout and Explorer sections, membership of the trustee board for both District and County Scout Councils, and currently Group Scout Leader.
He is passionate about Waddow Hall and intends to contribute to its continuing success.
